Chelation Therapy

CHELATION THERAPY

"For more than 60 years, chelation therapy has been used as an effective FDA approved treatment for heavy-metal poisoning and toxicity. The American College of Cardiology/ American Heart Association granted chelation a 2b indication for treatment of chronic ischemic heart disease."

What is Chelation Therapy?

Chelation therapy is a medically-proven procedure designed to remove heavy metals and toxins from your body, while enhancing nitric oxide levels, glucose regulation, and cardiovascular health.

Chelation therapy is an intravenous treatment that circulates a chemical substance in the blood. Once in the blood, this “chelating” solution binds to certain molecules (such as metals and minerals) and carries them away in the urine.

The most common form of chelation therapy uses a synthetic amino acid called ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA). EDTA is known to remove substances such as lead, iron, copper, and calcium. EDTA chelation therapy includes other modalities, such as Glutathione IVs, Ozone Therapy, Sauna Therapy, and Colon Hydrotherapy to further the detoxifying benefits.

How it Works

How Does Chelation Therapy Work?

Chelation therapy has been practiced for over 60 years and studied in the TACT1 trial which included 1078 patients. The results in the EDTA group showed a significant reduction in the time to first recurrent cardiovascular event in patients with prior MI, age 50 or older, already treated with standard evidence-based medical therapies compared to the placebo group. In the subgroup with diabetes (633 patients), the results were dramatic: the chelation- based therapy reduced cardiac events by 51% and reduced all cause mortality by 43%.

Although this incredibly powerful therapy is used safely world-wide, rare side effects can occur including allergic reaction to EDTA, hypoglycemia, hypocalcemia, headaches, rash, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain.

The treatment may remove vital minerals from the body along with the toxic metals. Revive Health Infusions always includes vitamins and minerals to your treatment solution to help keep them at an optimal level in the body to maintain health.

Likewise, prior to this procedure, our certified Chelation Physician will discuss additional testing required: such as laboratory testing to assess for heavy metal toxicity or burden, kidney function, calcium and glucose levels.
